Snowy Mountains
Sorry for the long gap in posting! In addition to the fact that I've been traveling some, I've been pretty stressed about my old house situation and didn't feel like writing, even about the fun stuff. But now we can catch up...
Right after Christmas I went camping with Kevin and Warren (friends from the university) and some of their friends in the Snowy mountains. In fact there was snow there! It snowed - middle of summer, mind you - on Christmas day there. So a couple days later when we did a 22km walk and climbed Mt Kosciuszko (the highest peak in Australia, but just 7300 ft) there was just enough to throw at each other.
This picture is one I especially like from the end of the hike.
And this, well, I think I fed Warren too much tequila, because then he had all this extra Bundy and decided that he should soak bread in it and give it to the possums....
I also spent New Years with Kev and Waza (that's Warren) and friends at Terrigal on the northern beaches. Then a week in Toowoomba where Peter's twin brother was visiting from England. A great time even though most everyone was sick for at least a day while I was there and it rained most of the week. With their help I'm finally getting the hang of cryptic crosswords.
