When you don't post to a blog for two whole months, it's hard to get going again - just so much to catch up on! I'll work on that this week, but I thought I'd ease myself in with a report on this morning. The weather has been great for the past two weeks - pretty warm, sunny, and no wind at all (quite unusual) and so the water is clearer than it evidently has been in years. Karen and Oliver and I went for a great snorkel on Sunday in an area off Clovelly that is normally not accessible due to swell, but with everything flat and clear it was so beautiful. So before it gets windy tomorrow (as it is supposed to do) I went in again at my house this morning before coming to work. And I think it was the best snorkel I've ever had. I saw several
giant cuttlefish which are just amazing (the show that that link goes to was very good - I want to buy the DVD.) This picture isn't mine, but it was just like that. And as I was getting out I saw an octosquidapus (I need to look at some pictures to find out what it was) for the first time. The blue groupers were extra blue, the little yellow and black ones were extra yellow and black. Can't beat that as a start to the day.
