Jervis Bay

[This is a catch up post from the end of March!] The first highlight of the weekend that Karen and I had in Jervis Bay (national park a few hours south of Sydney) was the Berry Donut Van (Berry is the town) where they cook up single donuts as you order them. Then the parts of the weekend that weren't raining were full of good coastal scenery and hikes.

Some of the scenery was the bluebottle jellyfish that had blown in all along the beach. These guys aren't some of the deadly ones, but those blue tenticles wrap around and give a nasty sting! I only got a bit once while snorkeling at my house, so I wasn't scared off playing a bit with the ones on the sand and admiring the blue, which was brighter than it looks in the picture. In case my top photography skills make it hard to tell , they're only 5-6 cm long.
